So! The amazing Nen and Jen tagged me some days *cough* over a week, I’m a lost cause *cough* ago in a New Year’s Eve book tag. I know you girls didn’t really tag as much as mention me in the 7 rings thing, but since I haven’t done a tag post yet and everything I’ve published is synopsis-related, well… Plus, I decided to be somewhat timely lol and do this while it’s still acceptable to consider 2020 as “starting”. Y’all, it’s not a joke. I would have done this in June.
As I’ve already read a few books this year, I tried to make this a so-far-in-2020 post.

Good As Hell || Favourite Book
50% of my 2020 reads were bleah-books until now, but it was hard to choose one among the 50% fantastic ones.
The Girls at the Kingfisher Club beat The Night Circus only because it’s historical fiction. And a fairy tale retelling.

Green Light Go || Green Cover
This book. I still have mixed feelings about it. I’m not going to post the review before the week prior to publishing date (May 5th) but for now I’ll say… I cannot find it in myself to rec it. And yet, I wish I could.
The MC is absolutely HORRIBLE. It’s torture to follow the first-person POV of someone who is as much of a self-absorbed, vapid, ignorant, disagreeable wastrel as Iris, but the setting is just really good. The plot is flimsy, but there is a sparkling feeling to this novel that is hard to ignore.

LBD || Sexiest Character
I had to go through my read list, because no character popped up in my mind. But then I facepalmed hard because… Of course, Hero from Speak Easy, Speak Love.
Not only is she a badass speakeasy queen, she’s her own kind of femme fatale. She sparkles and fizzles. A human firework with sarcasm and a sexy, curvy figure.

Sin Querer Queriendo || Silly MC (or Side Character)
Bueno… I know this is supposed to be about likeable silly characters, but all the silly characters I’ve met so far this year were honestly… terrible.
The whole cast from Bright Young Things (except Billie) was so stupid and frivolous, but honest-to-God delusional and incredibly clueless Letty Larkspur should get the Oscar for stupidest MC ever, ever, ever.

Kill This Love || First Book in 2020
Aaaaah, Legend, love of my early teenager years… This was a re-read, started as a post-Christmas gift to my 14-year-old self and finished at the dawn of 2020.
It was so much fun to rediscover the story now that I am more mature. Marie Lu’s mind is amazing.

Dally || Best Moment of 2019 2020

Ummmm… Seriously, shrimps have a better memory than I do. We’re not even two full months into 2020 and I have no idea-
Okay, no, yes, here it is: my best friend came back from the States a few weeks ago (she’s gone again to some other place, don’t mind my crying) and she brought me a LOVELY alsdjhglks spiral notebook that says Adventure Awaits (I’m leaving for college soon, and I *frightened squeal*) on its cover + some pens that say Create, Write, Edit.
She wrote a heartfelt letter on the first pages and I didn’t cry in front of her but I did fill buckets when I got home I’m just very emotional, okay?

7 Rings || New Books Friends
I’m just a newbie around here, but I’ve already met so many great people! The book blogging community is one of the warmest on the Internet.
I’m tagging you guys just to let you know that I admire you and love your blogs, so you don’t have to do the tag (since we’re too far into 2020 to make New Year’s Eve tags a thing).
Sandee @ Sandee and her Books
Alison @ Alison in Bookland
Siren @ Sweaters and Raindrops
Elara @ Spell Bookworm
Margaret @ Weird Zeal
Kaya @ A Fictional Bookworm
Emma @ A Few Chapters ‘Til Love

Ta-daa! First tag ever. I really enjoyed it. I thought tags were more complicated to do, but this was quick and fun.
Because I’m awkward and never know how to conclude or introduce or write, for that matter anything, I’ll just say that I hope you guys are having a nice day/night.
Happy reading!
Awww, thank you so much for the tag!! You’re the absolute sweetest💜

AHH thanks so much for tagging me! ❤ I definitely agree that Hero in Speak Easy is the sexiest femme fatale 😀 Happy (late) New Year, and I hope your 2020 is full of wonderful things!
